Under the skies,
Invisible in the night;
Upon the grass with creatures kind,
I sup and see
Fireflies for lamps;
Awake, I lie.
I dream in insomnia of
Stars on a chess board of life.
The pawn is lost to save the queen,
Falling inevitably upon indignation –
Fireworks for mankind;
Awake, I sleep.
When wakefulness wings has found,
Bury me in the mound of life.
